How long does it take? Your task in the house is probably not the housework, otherwise you would know alternatives

So, I don’t know what kind of grill you have, but lighting it takes about 20 seconds. I admit I’ve never actually timed it.

Then you come back a few minutes later, turn it off, brush the grate for 2-3 minutes, done. (After the chicken even less because there was no grate involved.) Even more effective: you do it before the next grilling session. Then the grill is already preheated. I don’t know your household, but it won’t fail because of 5 minutes.

How do you usually cook chicken? Cleaning the oven doesn’t go any faster.

No offense, I don’t understand that statement. On the one hand, how do you know which tasks I have in the household and which I don’t, and on the other hand, even if I do, I don’t understand the connection. Are you aware that burning off is the generally accepted rule of art, to use a term related to the forum topic? This wasn’t just made up by anyone. No one made up wiping down a shower cabin after showering either, but it makes sense to prevent lime stains. I have never timed how long it takes. Normally, it’s like this with us: I fry something, it ends up on the plate, during the meal all burners on high, about 400 degrees, shortly after eating off, brush everything, clean the grate, turn off. Takes 5 minutes? Finally, the question again, what does this have to do with my household task that is unknown to you?

Burning off takes 5 minutes.
You don’t have to do it after grilling, but before the next grilling session.
Until then, the gunk stays under the dome and takes on wondrous shapes. No matter, 400 degrees kills everything. After that, only carbon remains, which is brushed off. The fun continues.

I admit, many have difficulties with this because it doesn’t seem hygienic.
Also a good reason why I would never use stainless steel grates, because the (visual) expectation is always that it shines. That also explains all the cleaning products, even from well-known manufacturers. The €1500 sparkly thing is supposed to be maintained so visitors are impressed.
Wrong.

We’re talking about grills here.
As the saying goes: This is a "grill" and not a "cleaning tool."

Or is this whole thing meant to be an environmental discussion? A 5kg gas bottle lasts easily 10 hours at full power. Of course, depending on the model. You can spin a lot of roosters until it’s all gone. Cost about €8-9 for a gas refill. Someone else can calculate the CO2. But it’s negligible.

That only takes a few minutes? Ok...

No... I certainly don’t doubt grilling a chicken on the grill. It has immense advantages over baking in the home oven.

Huh? You eat for 5 minutes? Well, with us it takes longer. Much longer. Both. But it’s certainly an idea to preheat before eating.

It says there:

Don’t be so aggressive just because I ask and moreover wonder that common alternatives to gas grilling and pyrolysis cannot be understood by you.

To come back to the origin: it may be that we are doing something wrong. And repeating it. But we have found that this rotator is not the best thing. Commercially available chickens are difficult to fix with the claws and cleaning must also be done in the grill, not only in the oven. That was my statement.
