Yes, but compared to Otto, Weber grills are just hardware store goods. Weber has a big name, but not premium quality. I don't know enough about the other two to make such a statement. Otto plays in a completely different league in terms of material, workmanship, and components, but it is not as expensive as a Block D or something similar. That's why I find it interesting.

So a Weber Genesis grill, for example, in the price range of €1500 is many things, but certainly not a hardware store grill nor does it have to hide from anything. The same applies to Broil King or Napoleon products. These are proven manufacturers that all offer a portfolio from €100-5000+X.

Besides, that’s quite a bold claim for gas grills from Otto that aren’t even available to buy yet ;)

The same goes for a Block D. These things are primarily expensive and target a clientele for whom money is no object and who just want to grill a few sausages or steaks. No one who calls BBQ, grilling, or smoking their hobby would ever buy something like that. These units have two burners and thus offer the same range of performance or grilling possibilities as a €300 gas grill with two burners. The workmanship is, of course, impeccable; anything else would be an impertinence at that price.

I am also currently in the procurement process and am likewise wondering how much money one should spend. I now believe that somewhere from 1,500-2,000.-, depending on size, the added value or marginal utility regarding the grilling result diminishes very quickly. At the moment, I cannot imagine what grilling result I could not achieve with a 1,500.- grill that would require a 5,000.- one.

What the material, design, durability, name, technical fanciness, comfort, etc. are worth to me is another question. And yes, that will partly be worth something to me.

So 90% of people grill on a grill that cost less than 200 euros. Everyone gets full and is satisfied.

In the range of 500 euros, you can already get something nice that should meet the demands of 98% of grillers. The Videro 4 G-S as an offer was a good example. Actually, no one needs more.

You can certainly feel privileged if you invest beyond that. It is not necessary. :)

Flammkraft has 3 (infrared) burners. The same result can be achieved with cheaper grills. Just not the same feel and design. Flammkraft is still awesome.

The decisive factors for the grilling result are:
Meat quality and grilling technique
Power of the grill
Burner pattern, meaning an even flame pattern
Good grates.

This is already available in the low-cost sector.
Differences are then more about durability.
