If you normally refer to your mental state yourself, your own fault. I referred to the pure construction costs.

I also find it harsh, but it doesn't help. Plot + incidental purchase costs amounted to about 280k. One full floor with a basement, due to a slight slope two rooms fully usable as living space (with underfloor heating). A total of about 175sqm of living space with a detached 4x6m garage. The latter is basemented as a garden tool room, cost almost another 12k. I would describe the equipment as upper average: aluminum/wood windows with a 4m lift-and-slide door in the living room, electric roller shutters & venetian blinds, walk-in showers, country house floorboards, 75x75 tiles. Actually nothing wild, but every little bit adds up...

There it shows again: the more money you have, the more money you also spend. This does not mean that you can now build very cheaply, but that it does not have to be as expensive as the general statements here often suggest. Furthermore, it must be differentiated whether, for example, 40sqm or 150sqm need to be paved. Whether it is the chimney from the chimney builder for 30k or the DIY store stove for 2k. Whether it is wooden windows or PVC windows. Gas or geothermal energy. Roof with many dormers, skylights, projections, etc. It also depends on the builders how much time they want and can invest in research, offers, personal contribution, [KONTAKTE]. Some want everything finished immediately and see it as a given, others move into the house while the facade is not plastered, the garage is still being built, and the exterior area is still a dream. By the way, exterior area is not the same as exterior area. Rolled lawn vs. grass seed, chain link fence vs. forged custom design. This runs like a red thread through the construction. By [KONTAKTE], I did not mean illegal work either. I meant, for example, friends who are craftsmen and only charge for their labor time and do not add a surcharge to their wholesale discount. Good luck with your further research

Before there is any criticism here, I meant by moving in before the house is completely finished, not that these costs should not be factored in right away. However, expensive rents could already be saved there.
