It depends on the given topic. Is building under 400 possible? Answer, yes it is, with a 285, with others 340 etc pp. but indeed amounts actually paid under 400. However, you then have to manage your expectations accordingly. Karsten

I also find it intense, but it doesn’t help. Land + additional purchase costs amounted to about 280k. One full floor with basement, due to slight slope two rooms fully usable as living space (with underfloor heating). Total about 175 sqm living space with a detached 4x6m garage. The latter is basemented as a garden tool room, added almost another 12k. I would describe the equipment as upper average: aluminum/wood windows with 4m lift-and-slide door in the living room, electric shutters & blinds, walk-in showers, country house floorboards, 75x75 tiles. Basically nothing wild, but small expenses also add up...

Does Eder price refer to the complete house including the base slab? May I ask who you built with and where? That sounds very interesting

There is certainly nothing contaminated with radiation here. I don't understand why some people always become so condescending and insulting here. We live in rural Bavaria in a medium-sized town and are very satisfied with the location of our new building. We have all shopping facilities and schools around the corner, no more than 5 minutes on foot, and yet it is quiet without much street noise. Built in 2017 with direct contracting, moved in 2018

You can believe what you want. Yes, without a basement, whether basic or not, everyone has their own opinion. Since we didn't build with a general contractor but through individual contracts, we didn't have to order standard packages but chose exactly what we liked or what our budget allowed. As already mentioned, we have electric shutters everywhere, a masonry fireplace, underfloor heating but with a gas boiler, walk-in showers, a water softening system, windows anthracite inside and outside but PVC. For the garage, we only have a prefabricated garage with a storage room included. Oh, and the calculation also already includes all the new furniture. I just wanted to show the original poster that it is possible. True, we are not under 400,000 but if we had left out all the bells and whistles like the fireplace and windows, tiles not from Villeroy & Boch, and cheaper flooring, we could have saved quite a bit. But you only build once.

Just in case this is a misunderstanding, in the previous post I mentioned the total price of 900k. Only the land with additional costs was 280k. Benztown, of course, but it can be three times as expensive here...
