I just quickly googled "country house" and "hillside house," and some nice pictures came up; I actually didn’t find a single clinker-friesian house or hillside house. I really find that strange since we live in a time when "one" can get the impression on the internet that everything exists. Apparently, clinker-friesian houses as hillside houses do not.
I will follow your Google tip and google that as well. Emotionally, I have said goodbye to the clinker bricks. You would really stand out with that; nobody around here has it, and it wouldn't be worth the extra cost to have masons come from further north just for that. A builder said, "anything is possible, it's just a matter of price," and that's not worth it to me.
By the way, I think our first draft from the opening post is only partially suitable for changes since the symmetry and the large, open rooms give it its charm. However, we are open to completely different layouts if someone has something where they say -> this goes in that direction, take a look at thread XY. So, bring it on.
