.. I don't see a north arrow on the initial drawings ... maybe I just have blinders on. EDIT: Researched: ;) Kati only once mentioned somewhere in this thread that north is at the top of the plan. However, I hadn't imagined it being that far to the left.

True, you're right. I knew it.. sometime, in the middle. It is simply not understandable when a thread starter who has been in this forum for 2 years does not engage thoughtfully with certain requirements. I always criticize that a thread starter doesn't even look left and right to implement indexes for themselves. … somewhere parallels to the property are also recognizable  Even in an anonymous forum you can't pretend ;) … but bail out... I already like FB by now: there you mostly deal with real profiles.

Flush-mounted windows and door elements are unfortunately super expensive because they are structurally complex. If you plan it well with the structural engineer, you might be able to reduce costs. I don't have flush-mounted windows and front doors, but with 255 cm still relatively large elements. It really makes an impact, I believe the lift-and-slide door (frame+glass 2.55x3.2) weighs 600 kg :D

Yes, you can. To be honest, I regret having created the thread. At the time, in a thread about the renovation project, I had already decided not to discuss my own project here in full anymore. I stuck to that for a long time. Then, in the house sale thread, various (nice) members asked if there were already plans for the new project. Against better judgment, I created this thread and even tagged Pinkiponk because she had, among others, asked about it. However, I underestimated how much this forum has changed over the past two years. The conversational and discussion culture here has become too toxic for me overall. I would delete the thread if I could, but I can’t. So I’m opting out of it. Of course, this is not meant as an attack on Pinkiponk (or some of the other old-timers who communicate more than kindly). I just had a death in the family and am currently too sensitive for all this.

My condolences.

Then withdraw.
There is nothing toxic in the course of this thread – except for withholding property dimensions. But that has nothing to do with those responding. That is on you.
You are free to post whatever you like. I already found the moving thread oddly personal.
But the responders are not to blame for that.
