However, I have also read that Kati is not exactly building in a metropolis. And her first build with a general contractor, contrary to the opinions here, also worked out for the price mentioned.

Why should that not be the case with the current general contractor?

Here in the forum, it seems that a large part of the users do not live in the same Germany as some others here.

After all this time in the forum and an already completed build, I trust to have enough sense and discretion regarding her numbers in her region.

Edit: above all, the house is not supposed to be built at all, so I don’t understand the whole debate about the costs right now either.

So the original poster would like to exclude the budget and have a discussion about the floor plan. I understand your concerns and worries, but if the original poster needs something different, why keep drilling on that? If I want to buy a car and am eyeing a 100k euro car and I want a data check about the car, then I don’t want a discussion about whether I can afford that car or not.

I would wish for a discussion focused on the original poster’s needs. Ask yourselves, what does need?

Kati, have you already moved?
Your neighbor has picked up a habit from a gentleman in our town. 50-year-olds who behave like 17-year-olds are hard to endure and I am enemy of the state number 1.

It's posted in the forum, as well as a rough calculation. And I can only say that it only partially matches the plan for this house. I don't want to say more about that. Ultimately, the problem is that the "profit" from the old house isn't very helpful because the existing prices have risen sharply along with the construction costs.

No, not yet. We are moving in the summer. I'm very sorry that you have to go through this now too. I know a way to fight the problem, but it’s not legal. We had a long and detailed discussion about this in another thread, and you could also see in the forum how far apart the opinions are about what should be tolerated in the neighborhood and what should not. At first, only a clarifying conversation helps – that already improved the situation for me somewhat; for example, we agreed that the radio stays off on Sundays, and he now knows to what extent it burdens me. If all that doesn’t help, then only legal action remains. But I had categorically ruled that out. You’re very dependent on the outcome of the procedure/assessment by the expert, and besides, a harmonious neighborhood is no longer possible once you’ve had a fight in front of the district court. I therefore moved the move forward, but as you know, the neighborhood only plays a secondary role; mainly we want to return to family. Still, we also had the neighborhood lottery in mind – new ticket, new luck. Keep your fingers crossed for us. ;) We happened to meet the new neighbors at the property on Saturday and found out that we are distantly related. :D
