I find your comment very good. I have basically noticed that people often talk and write about floor-to-ceiling windows/doors, but almost never about ceiling-high windows/doors, which I personally find more attractive. Unfortunately, we couldn't implement that ourselves because our house manufacturer doesn't do that. Other house manufacturers have also declined. If I remember correctly, but other forum members know more about this, more light falls into the room from ceiling-high windows/doors than from floor-to-ceiling ones. By the way, welcome to the forum. Nice that you are here. :-)

No plot, no floor plans.

What use is the most beautiful hillside house floor plan if it doesn't fit your plot and the surroundings?

Do you see what I mean?

Is there a soil survey? Are the requirements of the structural engineer for this house priced into the property? At that time, no. How are the earth-contact walls constructed. Kati I have already pointed this out to you several times, this is still on top

Soil survey including dynamic probing & foundation recommendation as well as statics are priced in.

Did you build with a general contractor or through individual contracts? On what grounds should earth-contacting walls come on top? That would not be legally tenable in terms of contract law at all if they offer a complete residential house on this plot (which is specifically named and surveyed by them) according to their construction scope description, and then later say earth-contacting walls are not included in the offer?! The unknown in this equation is the earthworks that arise following the soil survey, and possibly disposal – if the soil cannot be stored on the plot.

I can’t imagine how that should be feasible either, since the box for the roller shutters is installed above the window. In the case of a bungalow, there's also the ring beam. Ours start a good 40 cm below the ceiling, but higher would not be possible for the reasons mentioned. However, I wouldn’t want it either because I need the space for curtains.
