Nobody is doing that. In this thread, hardly anyone has wandered in calling a house without a third bathroom, pantry, and fireplace not a house.
It is definitely the "big" or rather small wishes of the OP that can be realized more on 160 sqm, but not on the existing 110 sqm with limited roof height dimensions.
No one has written that she should look for a bigger house, but rather that she should stay grounded in reality.

I am not against small houses at all or disparage them - on the contrary, we ourselves are moving into a small terraced house. Our living/dining area is the size of the kitchen in most houses I see here. Our main bathroom is tiny, etc. I just think that if you consciously decide on this, you have to prioritize well what you really need! And for me, that would not include a pantry or a children's bathroom or a huge hallway. My question was therefore more aimed at whether there is the imagination to furnish with the existing furniture, for example, in the space.

My priorities for the size would be clever storage space and sufficiently large, well-laid out children's rooms.

It is constantly said here, "Dimensions will come later." But the building dimensions are fixed, so the interior dimensions LxW are equally fixed. (Relatively "wide" for a semi-detached house (5.8 x 9.8?))

As already mentioned here several times, too many rooms (wishes) for the area and far too many traffic areas (hallway/foyer…).

But that's exactly why I am here and created the post. I also think that after building the house I will be wiser and might do certain things differently or drop wishes, as they might turn out not to be that important in hindsight. But this is our first house build and therefore we just wanted to ask for a few pieces of advice, tips, and experiences.

Constructive criticism is always welcome, but I can hardly do anything with statements like "a 110m² house is not a life project but a temporary solution."

The exact dimensions are 11m x 7m (LxW), the house is unfortunately a bit narrow, which is due to the necessary distance to the neighboring house that cannot be exceeded.

We are considering removing the southern wall and the first western wall of the living area so that the living room is open to the dining area and kitchen.

But it is always like this, both with the house, the car, etc. You start with a certain wish, a certain idea, certain expectations. I never said that I WANT to accommodate all of that and insisted that it somehow had to work. Ok, we will drop the pantry. Ok, we will drop the second bathroom and make the children's rooms a bit bigger instead.

We told the architect what we would like and he tried to accommodate and consider everything. What came out of it pleased neither us nor you. That is why I started the thread to optimize the plan with your experiences and to discuss what makes sense and what does not.
