It heats up very quickly and very strongly and then cools down very quickly again.
You are right with….
As a heating system, a wood stove only works to a limited extent.
…however: once the place is warmed up by the stove, the heat in the new building also lasts 2-3 days in the intermediate season. In this respect, it can be used well as a replacement for heating.
we have now seen many apartments/houses where the storage stove had exactly these dimensions.
I find it too bulky for the relatively small room.
Oh dear, you also weren’t allowed to come home drunk, otherwise you’d end up at the neighbor’s. (They all look the same!). And the houses are as wide as a normal car is long. Here fits „living on the stairs“.
You don’t have to speak badly about the houses. Basically, terraced houses shouldn’t be spoken badly about. Built in 1978 quite individually. Some builders here could take an example from that. I would even say: get lost in the dark in a new development area and you won’t be able to tell the townhouses from terraced houses ;) 5.50 m interior width and over 50 sqm all-purpose room downstairs – that is more than many all-purpose rooms discussed here ;) …with open gable and triangular window, straight stairs, full window fronts and a band of light made of black wood on white plaster already very modern back then. The residential area, 65! units (yes, wow :D), is accessed by 4 streets. Since they have been inhabited by the 1st, 2nd and/or 3rd generation, the views and gardens became quite individual. I just visited a friend there recently: unfortunately, many front gardens are turning into dreadful front gardens  But in terms of dimensions comparable to the TE’s terraced house, just to switch the topic again :)
