Where should the bathroom on the upper floor drain? It is located directly above the living room.

An architect is very happy to design that when it looks disharmonious with a rectangular tub. Definitely, half a day of brainpower is still needed for the bathroom furniture.

A drain pipe will drain in FRONT of a wall. Never INSIDE the wall. You would then have a drainage box next to the window in the living room.
