Do you/your wife want to clean 3 bathrooms? Besides, I don't think that for the renovation of a bathroom to current standards you would only spend 3000T€, unless you do it in EL.
We somehow have created a lot of storage space in the house, in the attic and in the garage, and it’s still always tight. Off the top of my head in the house I can think of:
- vacuum cleaner
- ironing board
- drying rack
- laundry baskets
- tools
- supplies (food/drink crates/wine/pet food)
- craft supplies/gift wrap
- seasonal decorations (we have lots of Christmas stuff)
- electrical distributors/cables
- file folders
- garden/work clothes/shoes
- photo albums and personal keepsakes
- children’s clothes and baby items (e.g. stroller/bathtub/potty), if more children are planned
- tile remnants
- current paint leftovers (if no frost-free room is available)
- and of course the many things you keep for the time being
I believe that if you own a house, you automatically have more tools and also keep more building materials because there’s always something to do here and there, which as a tenant was completely irrelevant.
I think you didn’t read properly, this is not about a renovation measure, but about an official offer from the contractor to convert the storage room into an extra bathroom for 3000,-. To be fair, I have to say that we are procuring the sanitary fixtures ourselves. I would like to list your items and quickly share my first thoughts on their storage:
- vacuum cleaner (office behind door/closet etc. or utility room - big enough)
- ironing board (utility room)
- drying rack (utility room)
- laundry baskets (utility room)
- tools (garage and shed, both large)
- supplies (food/drink crates/wine/pet food) (pantry)
- craft supplies/gift wrap (utility room, guest room will surely also offer a small compartment in the closet/dresser)
- seasonal decorations (we have lots of Christmas stuff) (utility room, attic)
- electrical distributors/cables??? (utility room)
- file folders (office)
- garden/work clothes/shoes (garage, shed or hallway on ground floor e.g. for shoes)
- photo albums and personal keepsakes (living room)
- children’s clothes and baby items (e.g. stroller/bathtub/potty), if more children are planned (attic)
- tile remnants (garage or shed)
- current paint leftovers (if no frost-free room is available) (garage or shed)
- and then of course the many things you keep for the time being...
Are these all things you would store in a storage room? Oh dear :)
