One of the two can then be placed lengthwise under the stairs. I have my WC with a hand washbasin there. Works great, even for men peeing standing up. :D
Turn the other lengthwise or even design the pantry only as a cabinet along the wall. Then the traffic area that you now need in the pantry to reach the shelves and supplies becomes the movement space lengthwise in the hallway. What is also a hallway is also traffic space to access supplies.

I took a photo once: the tape measure on the floor is extended to 180cm. The cabinets are 30cm deep (Ivar from Ikea) and stand in front of my technical equipment. I have water, electricity, telephone behind the front door and want to keep it accessible. Then I also have my bicycle standing in the hallway. The bicycle is about 65cm wide. The passage at the narrowest point at the height of the bicycle is 80cm. That’s roughly what you would have. But always. I can also put my bicycle away. Then I have a 140 cm passage plus storage space at that spot.

The office door is really a hazard. That’s really unfortunate. Here are 2 alternative options, each still has a drawback.
Option 1 costs you floor space. In such a small house, a real loss. But still better than having the door slammed in your face.

In option 2, the door feels like it opens in the wrong direction (not into the room, but against the wall). That’s manageable – you can just open it wide. You would only have to adjust the slope a bit, and the floor space in the bedroom stays intact. The big question is whether the masons will build so precisely that it works and doesn’t go wrong. After all, they have to keep the door swing circle in mind. With such tight things, I stand right at the construction site and watch. Best to paint the door swing and wall slope on the floor with a few centimeters of allowance for plaster and the frame.

Next to the washing machine on the upper floor is a double casement window in the roof – that gives you a bit more height – sometimes up to 30, sometimes up to 40 cm can make a difference. But you don’t go from 1m to 1.80m standing height or something like that. So in my opinion, it remains an eternal stooping to do the laundry. That’s a kind of discrimination against the housewife, if you ask me. ;)

The bay window door is visually aligned with the exterior windows and doors on the floors above. What’s more important to you, you have to decide yourself. Maybe you just make it so big that both fit. That would be my solution.

Hmm, just one step is considered comfortable, the same applies to the terrace doors. A distance of one meter means 4-5 steps. In a flood zone certainly necessary, but otherwise usually avoided. Regarding the office door on the upper floor: you need 2 offices... are there disturbing phone calls or conferences held in both? Otherwise, I would suggest installing an inexpensive sliding door in EL. It does not disturb and also only seals visually.

Option 1 is out of the question for me because I want a 3 m cabinet later and have reserved the space for it. For that, I really find option 2 genius. Ask the architect if that's possible, I hope it’s really cool if it works out.

What do you mean by double casement window (roof window)? I don’t understand what you mean by that or how you gain height since the window, if you mean the window by that, will be in the middle and the washing machine stands at the wall and at the edge anyway where there will be wall. The only alternative would be to move the sink somewhere else or omit it to push the washing machine there. I also need to have a dryer planned.

But even in the original version, there is no 3m wardrobe drawn in. Slant or not, I think that’s not enough either way, I’m afraid. As I said, if yes, you have to stand next to it on the right day and be careful so that it doesn’t turn into a mess. Yep. The window provides additional height because the thickness of the roof insulation and tiles, etc., is reduced on the window surface upwards. That adds a few centimeters. So where you stand, you have more headroom. But it doesn’t add enough to go from 1m to 1.80m (average height). Therefore, take another close look at what’s possible with your knee wall or with the design. Maybe dormers could also work? Expensive, but that way you obviously get standing height immediately.

But with the original version it is definitely possible, the architect has measured. The wardrobe is drawn at 250 cm and there is definitely 50 cm more space inside. The only question is if, when you turn the door, it will still fit… I definitely wanted to keep the freedom to be able to place a 3 m wardrobe… but I’m wondering if it’s worth it or if I should restrict myself to 2.5 m and take a nicer layout in return, in case with variant 2 the 3 m wardrobe can’t be placed.

Of course I will be on site to ensure it is built exactly right… that should not be an issue now… even if I have to go there with the baby.
