It would look something like this:

The step one level down can be built over in the upper floor, so that the other staircase would not need to be changed.

I didn’t understand how it would look with the staircase then, so would the one step come before, and the staircase end one step earlier? If that would work, as you drew it, WOW, that would be a great solution. As far as I know, the architect always said that the staircase is in the way etc... that’s why the door doesn’t fit there, she also changed the staircase with the acquaintances so that it doesn’t go so far into the house, our staircase is a bit longer though, so I don’t know if it would work, but if so, that would be cool!

Yes, in the end there just have to be 15 steps again to achieve the height. However, these should also have enough depth. So if you remove one at the top, you add one at the bottom again – that shouldn't be a problem. With the winding, it's not quite 100% simple as described, but the staircase builder will handle it. Since it's only one step, it's also irrelevant for the headroom on the ground floor. The only thing is that the step on the ground floor now protrudes beyond the wall of the hallway. So to prevent anyone from tripping, something has to be placed sideways in front of it – a railing or a half-high sloped wall. You could also make the hallway narrower, but we want to avoid that. It probably somewhat conflicts with the perfectionism of the architect. But in real life, I would find that unproblematic – also visually. Or there are static concerns – then I'm out.

What kind of staircase will that be? A wooden staircase?

Yes, it will be a wooden staircase. I still want to choose the color during the sampling because I don't like beech, it should be gray, and also an open one, so basically there's a hole between the steps, if you know what I mean...

Yes, of course you can't close off the room underneath it on the ground floor, probably why there's little response to it.
We also had such an open staircase in the terraced house. Since then, my husband was determined never to close it off again. Dirt trickles all the way down from the top continuously. That was annoying, especially with several staircases stacked above each other. Of course, it's also a matter of price.

Apart from that: Gray? ;)
