So, where are the toothbrushes supposed to go?

... if not even a mirrored cabinet fits in terms of depth? That is not planned for at all in this case of furnishing by the OP in terms of space. A mirrored cabinet protrudes forward, the doors open forward... so it may be that you can’t even lean forward without leaving a grease smudge on the mirror. There isn’t that much space, as you can see.
The mirrored cabinet would also have to be a bit higher because of the faucet. This in turn means that smaller people can’t see themselves at all. Stepping back is not possible because of the tub. You stick to the washbasin and fiddle around the mirrored cabinet. The towel rack would be the tub, and one could live with that...

Not even a house or a utility room is absolutely necessary. Yes, you can of course move the utility room wall, but one has to be pointed out that this OP is not so great. I once had a bathroom of almost 6 sqm, about 2.20 m wide, there was more space and comfort.

I agree with you that I also find the bathroom layouts you showed more practical. But it is not our house, it is the OP’s house, and it has to please him.
Toothbrushes go on the washbasin, which is wider than the sink; there is plenty of space for that.
And a mirrored cabinet also easily fits above it. They are not that deep.
We have it that way, and it fits perfectly.
Height of washbasin about 90 cm, bottom edge of mirrored cabinet about 120 cm. The grandchildren can easily see themselves in it, that’s enough for short people (hardly anyone is under 140 cm, and they usually need other aids anyway). In between there is even space for a pull-out faucet; you can even wash your hair.
You also never stand too close to the mirrored cabinet.

Thank you for your comments on the facades. We have incorporated your advice.
The connecting elements are intended to be wooden facade elements / will be. Although I also don't find that very attractive on the east side yet.

Sense of space and space requirements are not matters of taste. Here it is rather a lack of imagination. The guest toilet unnecessarily feels as if you were standing in a closet. I recommend recreating the dimensions with cardboard and furniture and then reassessing.

What do you think of the idea for the bathroom upstairs? The wall of the shower is marked there with 1.5m. Probably not very practical at the door, but we would like an open shower without a door. The bathtub is there in the

Also, we have reconsidered the guest toilet because your comments regarding the layout and thus the size are quite correct. Would it basically be conceivable to have the entrance to the office under the stairs (with the staircase turned back)? Would something like that fit height-wise? Then the guest toilet could be moved forward and space created.

You also have such a free space behind the door again and the toilet/washbasin are really close together, or rather, only a fairly narrow washbasin is possible.

I find Yvonne's approaches from better.
