Numbers often say less. Or in other words: what do you want with a number, you have space! However, you can see the specifications in the old floor plan drafts in this thread. They won’t be that different, since when designing on 9.5 x 11 you usually create pretty much the same. Whether a room is 11 or 12 doesn’t matter at all – the layout has to be right. But I can tell you: the chill area in the all-purpose room is not very big. It’s nearly 3.10 meters along the wall or so. A side table, toy shelf or similar will already be hard to place there.

Mmh, I have to jump in here briefly: the design is the reduced version at 10.70m x 9.40m – so it is definitely less than the previous one with 9.5 x 11. The chill area is 4.25m from the sofa to the wall and 3m wide.

Exactly. I was referring to this dimension.

And the difference between the always mentioned 9.50 and your 9.40 does not necessarily lead to an enlargement of the sofa wall. Anyone who is not a planner should also notice that when seeing the kitchen width. Stairs 1 meter, passage 1 meter… somewhere the design falters, and that is precisely here.

Hello everyone,

here is a current update. The exterior dimensions are now final for us as well as the room layout. I have already sketched some minor change ideas.

We now want to focus again on the facade / windows. An idea is also already drawn in the floor plan here.

In addition, we have adjusted and rotated the staircase to about 4m and set the roof pitch to 22 degrees with attic trusses for a bit more headroom in the additional storage space.

We would also welcome input / recommendations from your side regarding window dimensions etc. The facade should not be too boring.

Thanks!!

I would plan the children's rooms so that the beds are in the niches where the wardrobe is currently planned. And your guest room reminds me of hotel rooms in London. At least that ensures that guests don't stay longer than necessary.

Not using the space behind the bedroom door for the wardrobe is, in my opinion, wrong. What else should go there? I would also separate the bedroom from the children's room with a thicker wall for soundproofing. Regarding the window - what kind of roof was planned again?
