Basically, there is also an outside water tap... you really don't need a bathroom.

Exactly. At least in summer, I use the Gardena garden shower. Nothing is better than the love fresh shower at 7 a.m.

Here it is forgotten that building material producers exploit their influence to drive construction prices up. Compared to 1995, the material alone for building a shell construction today costs twice as much in real terms because more has to be used.
[QUOTE="Fummelbrett, post: 318490, member: 43579"]...The landscaping of the garden took many years; whenever some money was saved again, it went into the house. There were vacations; but no flights, rather hiking and skiing vacations in the wider area.

Today this is almost unthinkable. How many move into a house without furniture? Many also dispose of their previous furniture to refurnish. Costs a lot of money. Yes, and the driveway must also be paved immediately. Garden landscaped too, what else would the neighbors say?...[ /QUOTE]
For too many, building a house serves prestige more than purpose.

We are currently living on the ground floor of our house. The three of us in two rooms plus shower toilet because the attic is not yet habitable. Thanks be to the botched work of our construction company! [/Irony]
Terrace? Garden? Will be done at the earliest next year.
What do the neighbors say about it? I don’t care at all!
Driveway? Maybe this year if we have enough money.
What do the neighbors say about it? I don’t care at all!
Carport? Garage? Medium-term – maybe in 10 years.
What do the neighbors say about it? I don’t care at all!
Why?
In recent years I have been involuntarily at cemeteries too often. It made me realize that status is complete nonsense. Status consciousness only burdens and distorts character in a bad way.

Garden Part 1 last year Garden Part 2 and front door this year Garage interior + gate + driveway next year Slope should be finished in about 4 years Why? 1. To benefit tax-wise for as long as possible 2. Money has to be available too (We don’t want to touch our reserves) 3. This is common in our area I think they would call us crazy if the landscape gardener had come and finished everything last year 4. I find it hard to decide. The more you read and see, the more ideas come. I’d probably need about 5000 sqm of garden 5. We want to do some things ourselves in the garden and then only Saturday remains when we don’t have to work People don’t matter to me, they complain anyway.

That is why a home of one's own with all the status and stress is actually not important to me as a questioner. But the lack of affordable rental houses or rental apartments with a small garden then forces families like mine to consider building.

Because depending on the region, renting is similarly expensive or even more expensive.
