I don't know anyone who has ever felt the house of their parents was a burden. Selling it is not bad at all and a nice start-up help for the next generation.

It depends on which levers you turn. Renting oneself and renting out at the same time could be a sensible option. As a landlord, you also have different tax possibilities than an owner-occupier.

And what many generally do not have on their radar is the issue of need for care and homeownership.

Care dependency and home ownership is a good combination. The property can be nicely utilized. Isn’t that the retirement provision everyone always talks about?

Obviously. An underestimated topic. The social welfare office shows no mercy and even with Hartz4 it can quickly become interesting. And that can happen quickly, for example, due to illness.
