On the general topic of housing: For quite a few people, large rooms and gardens are a burden. Many only realize this over time and with increasing age. Today, people are professionally highly demanded; not everyone then feels like fiddling around the house on the weekend.[/QUOTE]
Well, they should rather rent or buy a condominium. Owning a house involves some work.

A bit of work? Actually always

Anyone who buys a house buys work. One should be aware of that.

In my observation among acquaintances, many are not aware of this. The topic is underestimated. Especially when one is professionally stressed. Many couples who build a house also have small children or are planning a family. This can also represent a more or less high stress factor. Especially if no grandparents, uncles, or aunts are available to help.

That's true, many people are not aware of that. Especially when the parents don't own a home. I also see this among acquaintances, or the image of the green strip around the house has become too firmly established in their minds.

That goes with it.
The quantity, however, is influenced by what you want to make of the property.
One wants 200m² of English lawn and wrinkles their nose if even a deadnettle wants to bloom on it and doesn't just work like crazy on weekends to maintain the appearance.
The other mows once or twice a month, doesn't mind weeds, and prefers to sit on the terrace in the evening.

I want an English lawn. Yes. Without any admixture of weeds, without thistle, clover and dandelion, without daisies and lush like a carpet. For that I don't have to slave away, but only know what needs to be done when. and since a developed 600 [er] plot is not a golf course, it is not work. K.
