Detached house was not mentioned. A semi-detached house as a single-family home on the property boundary is planned. The neighboring property is undeveloped and there is no obligation for development by that neighbor either. Sooner or later someone will build on it or not.

I would like to dig up the thread again and join the question.

We recently bought a plot of land in the Stuttgart/Sindelfingen metropolitan area and are now looking for house-building companies. We have already gone through the major prefab house providers and also had further talks with three providers. But now we also want to talk to solid house providers and preferably local companies. Unfortunately, I have no overview here at all, also regarding what can be recommended.

We would like to build modern and turnkey, and the costs should be as predictable as possible in advance. So rather in the direction of a fixed price, although I am also open to other options.

Our previous talks:

Fertighaus / Holzbauweise

    [*]Hanse Haus
    [*]Bien-Zenker
    [*]Bittermann & Weiss

Massivhausanbieter

[*]Haus der Handwerker -> the conversation was very pleasant, but overall did not meet our expectations in many places
[*]FERMO -> made a very good impression, but unfortunately too expensive
[*]Hauser Massivbau -> appointment is still pending

I have now also come across providers like Kern-Haus (DuoTherm?) or Lechner Massivhaus (klimaPOR?) and don’t know what to make of them.

Do you have any concrete recommendations for a solid house provider in the Stuttgart / Sindelfingen area?
I would appreciate any hints and tips.

Thank you.

If you hadn't mentioned Hauser yourself, I would have recommended them now We are currently building with them and are really satisfied, simply a fair and professional provider - we're really glad we chose them Take a look in Heimsheim in the new development area, they're currently building several Hauser houses there

Thank you for your response!

Can you share something about your experiences with Hauser? How were the first appointments, how would you rate the price/performance ratio, why did you decide to build with Hauser? And what kind of house will it be for you?

Otherwise, feel free to provide further tips about other providers.

I could recommend the company Speidel to you. We also visited Fermo, but the price was completely off. However, the price alone is not decisive; in the end, it is the entire construction performance and the possibility to incorporate your wishes. We are currently building with Speidel, and after some skepticism, I was truly proven wrong. I can only advise against a prefabricated house, no matter which manufacturer. Prefabricated houses are currently being built around me, and when I see the substance, I can only shake my head. You spend hundreds of thousands on chipboard and insulation, with a few wooden beams in between. Ultimately, a prefabricated house with interior finishing only takes 4 weeks less than a solid house, but of course, you are not told that in Fellbach.

Build a solid house with a basement and ideally monolithic without Styrofoam on the walls. This is very easy to plan and much better to design than the cardboard and gypsum board building kits.

The trades at Speidel are from the region, all down-to-earth and mostly family businesses spanning generations. I am very happy with the decision and would decide the same way anytime. So far, I am very satisfied with the execution and quality. I go to the construction site every day and am therefore always up to date.

Best regards

Briefly about Fermo. Of course, the price is steep, but the standard is incredibly high.

A business colleague built with the company Köhler from Wildberg and was more than satisfied.
