So Hauser either seems to have too few salespeople or too many customers. I asked for an appointment on Monday and have not received a response until today. I also called in the meantime and they always wanted to put me through to the salespeople, but they were constantly busy. Then today I finally got a call, and the next available appointment would be early/mid March ops:
Unfortunately, this now shifts my schedule a bit because last week and this week I had appointments with the other providers and all promised feedback including prices within 7-10 days.
I will also complete the list:
Prefabricated house / timber construction
[*]Albert Haus -> purely an informal conversation, was very likeable, but we put it on hold for now
[*]Schwabenhaus -> the first 10 minutes competitors were disparaged, then 10 minutes talking about Schwabenhaus’ advantages, then the financial service and the best conditions were presented, and then something about the house itself. They were out immediately.
[*]Hanse Haus -> so far the best contact. Much was discussed about costs and our wishes and we were repeatedly brought back down to earth. Expensive extras were not imposed, but critically questioned as to whether they were necessary and sensible. Our wishes were noted directly as extras including costs, to show us how high the additional costs per item are. The offer is now there, unfortunately above our discussed budget. Much was recorded, but I still see a few additions (more sockets, more LAN ports, electric roof windows instead of normal roof windows, etc.) that would take us further away from the budget.
[*]Bien-Zenker -> also a very nice contact, they talked a long time about the advantages of Bien-Zenker and then went through our ideas per floor. Possible floor plans were also drawn (on paper) and discussed directly. Still, in the end I missed the feeling of exactly what he had recorded and would calculate the prices. We are supposed to receive the costs in a second appointment.
[*]Bittermann & Weiss -> also a likeable contact here and a well-structured conversation. They took note of our wishes and gave direct recommendations. If one of our ideas was senseless, they said so immediately and suggested an alternative. The marketing part of B&W was completely absent, which we liked. We are supposed to receive the price calculation in the next few days.
[*]Fertighaus Weiss -> we really liked their YouTube video about the new show house, but we read a lot of negative things about them. There are several reports that shortly after moving in many things broke or even damp walls were present. That currently deters us somewhat from an appointment.
Solid house providers
[*]Haus der Handwerker -> as already mentioned, the conversation was very likeable, but overall did not meet our expectations in many areas. They talked a lot about the house, but in the end not really about details, rather postponed that this could all be discussed later. They strongly emphasized the advantages of HdH and that there are houses everywhere in the entire district. The price calculation is still pending.
[*]FERMO -> as already mentioned, very good impression of the house and also the team. At times they seemed a bit "aloof" and I felt bad during the conversation with a "normal" and "cheaper" house. Their standard is very high-quality and much included already, but the price is high-end. In the end, adjusted for equipment, we were about €100k above the Hanse Haus offer and the first price tendencies of the other providers.
[*]Hauser Massivbau -> appointment still pending (see above)
