How fortunate that the competent citizen does not need to sign anything.

Well, the statutory warranty/guarantee exists anyway. Otherwise, the maintenance contract for an air-water heat pump at Waterkotte costs exactly the same, right?

You’re not allowed to post links here, but if you visit Waterkotte’s website, you’ll quickly find out. It probably all costs the same, which is not surprising, since I think an air-to-water heat pump contains even more technology and wear parts. A brine heat pump is still quite simple in construction.

Of course, you can do without that. But if something ever happens with the system, these costs give you a preview of what a normal craftsman’s service costs. That’s what I’m always saying. With products like these, you pay yourself silly with maintenance and repairs. My landlord can tell you a thing or two about that.

Of course, things can go differently with luck, but there are enough cases where it goes exactly like that.

That’s exactly where I read it, so maintenance is not an argument for/against. I can also imagine that there is something similar for other devices if you want a warranty longer than the statutory one. No manufacturer gives anything away. Otherwise, my brine heat pump has now been running for almost exactly 4 years absolutely repair/parts/defect-free. Long-term experience is still outstanding on my part, but I have never heard of long-term problems, and the technology is already older and has been used for a long time (longer than many suspect, I think).

Who was lucky then, and who was unlucky?

If you approach it that way, then forget it. This thread now has 41 pages and in the end, all you get is a gas boiler. Let's just leave it at that

Let's see. If it ends up being significantly more expensive than it already is, then maybe not. But it might also end up being hybrid.
