Air heat pump or use gas and solar?

This is a gas-powered heat pump. Using gas instead of electricity. Like with gas refrigerators. You can also build a gas combined heat and power plant instead of a regular boiler. Or a fuel cell with gas.

Certainly, because you don't get anything for free, and -cheap- is not the only criterion for deciding on a particular heating system.
The 48k € is quite a significant amount, but then you have to say what it is for?
My neighbor definitely spent that much too, but his 350sqm and huge glass fronts need heating in winter, and the solar system with storage can supply even his love for home automation and Christmas lights for several days in winter.

But well, if you like to bask in how cheap your solution was, go ahead, but then provide numbers and facts instead of spreading basically "hearsay"! It would be interesting for comparison, how expensive was the gas connection, the complete system with fireplace, and - since you have been living in it for a while - the annual costs (fees/maintenance?) and the heating costs so far (for what size/energy standards)? That way you would help the forum members here better.
