Air heat pump or use gas and solar?

Why should he? So an air-water heat pump is maintenance-free? Counter-thesis: Synergy from gas with solar thermal is higher than with air-water heat pump, since both are high-temperature systems. As long as gas is available on the street and can be connected cheaply, in my opinion, it must currently be examined without prejudice, since it is still very economically interesting at the moment.

You can also cook with gas, for example. Despite using a different heating technology, I would have had a gas line installed for this reason, but it was canceled by the city due to lack of demand. Unfortunately, solar thermal produces especially when you don't need it, but unlike photovoltaics, you can't sell it. Generally, it is not profitable; for example, during the non-heating period, which usually lasts at least 6 months, it can at most save hot water costs... given the low prices for photovoltaics, solar thermal is actually only to be discouraged. Otherwise, feel free to put conflicting figures on the "table," I am genuinely interested in how you want to justify the higher synergy. (In fact, the solar thermal only replaces/supports the gas system, whereas the air-water heat pump can directly use the electricity from the photovoltaic system.)

Our plot is fully developed and gas lines are available. That is not the problem.

Can you achieve a KfW55 house with a gas boiler and solar including battery?

In principle, a professional should always recalculate the building exactly, as many parameters are involved, and the technology/system is only one part. Possibly something like controlled residential ventilation must also be added with this combination, as it is also about primary energy consumption.

Yes, but with an LPG bottle in the utility room, it works for a fraction of the one-time and ongoing costs of a gas connection. Therefore, you can certainly get a gas connection just for cooking; whether that is economically sensible is another matter.

Photovoltaics (without storage) mostly deliver when you don't need it as well.

You can. Unfortunately, the "buyer" has a lot of non-market-produced electricity that he often needs to get rid of (often at negative prices).

I already said, if you want to use it regardless of the economy, and already have a connection anyway, then the consideration for a gas heating system is different...

I now urgently ask for the explanation of how you sell the energy produced by solar thermal (otherwise you have quite misunderstood and misquoted me - and for photovoltaic electricity there is at least a fixed sale price for 20 years in Germany).
