Corresponds approximately to the price that the Heiz technician who backed out of my GÜ had estimated for the maintenance. I also find it too high, but it is probably market-appropriate. I am also in Berlin, the same air-to-water heat pump is supposed to be installed.

Thank you all for the answers. So it seems to be market standard. Amazing. That basically makes heating 30€ more expensive.

Do it for the first 5 years because of the warranty. If you watch over the shoulder every time exactly as suggested, you can then really do it yourself annually and only have a professional do it every 5 years. After 20-25 years, you will probably need a new heat pump anyway.

In general, it's a farce anyway and in my opinion pure money-grabbing. I've already had a few technicians here because of initial problems with our air-water heat pump, and each one confirmed to me that these things, apart from cleaning/visual inspection, are maintenance-free.

What actually breaks on these parts? Either the circuit board, the compressor, or the cooling circuit develops a leak. None of this is "maintained" or can even be maintained, and a leaking cooling circuit can only be detected when the machine throws an error message.

We took out an extended warranty for 5 years with AI, a one-time cost of €280 net. The warranty conditions state, and also on explicit written inquiry, not a word about regularly scheduled maintenance. The general contractor only gives you two years warranty on the unit anyway; if the heat pump dies after 3-4 years, you’re on your own regardless.

I will have the same pleasure regarding the warranty for the first 5 years. I am also curious about the costs.
What I fear the most is that the technician will reset my heating curve back to factory settings.

But step 1 is to get the heat pump installed. Step 2 is to commission it, and at some point in winter I can think about the settings. Then a year later I will take a close look at what changes have been made to the settings.

All in all, a nice money-making machine from the combination GU-heating installer. If the refrigerant leaks, you don’t see that anyway during maintenance. If it comes to that, you would notice it only then, with or without maintenance.

First, clarify whether you even have a 5-year warranty; a look into your contract will help here. Heating is always a special topic and does not per se fall under the five-year warranty afaik.
