Air heat pump or use gas and solar?

By "calculate through" I meant economic calculations for individual types of heating in order to create a basis for weighing options.

I wouldn't say I tend towards the air-water heat pump. I can live with both. Subjectively, I feel slightly more drawn to gas. But in the end I want to weigh it purely economically. And for that, someone first has to evaluate the offers on the table and combine that with ongoing costs.

I am already googling for energy consultants. The company that did the heating load calculation also offers energy consulting, but they seem very heat pump-oriented to me. And you don't know how closely they are connected with the general contractor's installer, who absolutely does not want to sell a gas heating system.

The utility provider also offers energy consulting:

When calculating, also speak with the general contractor [GU] beforehand. Do you still have or need a chimney? Or will it be credited. Also consider ongoing costs such as chimney sweeping, maintenance, etc.

Especially with future energy prices, it remains a gamble.

The best measure is to insulate as well as possible. However, due to expensive prices, this is often not economical. At least not through [GU].

However, it is important, whether gas or heat pump: the underfloor heating must be well designed. Apart from the profitability in ongoing operation, you remain flexible and can also switch to a heat pump in the future.

No, otherwise we don’t need a chimney. In any case, we had a shaft laid for a photovoltaic preparation, which would now be used for the solar pipes.

Maintenance is definitely higher with the heat pump. Waterkotte doesn’t have a service partner on every corner. For a gas heating system, you have a specialist company on every corner that can drop by quickly. I also know that from our Nibe topic here. Nothing under 300 euros for a visit. The landlord is making a killing from it. And then comparison portals often mention something like €100 maintenance costs for a heat pump. Yeah, right....

To be honest, I would estimate the maintenance of the heat pump to be minor. Is there possibly a maintenance schedule from Waterkotte online? There isn't much to check there. But I would have to educate myself on that.

If a heat pump is not set up ideally, you will only have problems with it. So many people have already been standing there and tinkering around. Crazy. And everyone says something different and thinks they know better how to set up the heat pump.

The gas/solar solution also gives a lot of hope, as I was able to read while googling for Vitodens 200f experiences. Oh man.

Setting a heat pump is something in itself and should be left to the heating technician. There is a reason why there is a user menu and a professional access. I also don’t want everyone who "thinks they know better" messing around with my IT. Besides, there are a few values that you can/should really adjust after moving in. During the acceptance, I received a detailed briefing from the manufacturer!
