That is not correct - they recommend at least RC 2 N.

That is also not true. That is too general. Because there is at least one employee of the Prevention Department at the police who told me something different during my personal appointment at the police, namely RC2/WK2, explicitly including laminated safety glass.

First of all, WK no longer exists; it has been replaced by the umbrella term RC. Secondly, I attend many trade fairs throughout the year; the police booth is often right next to mine. All my interlocutors unanimously recommend RC 2 N as basic protection. Of course, RC 2 is better – but RC 2 N is definitely better than nothing. Therefore, a - perhaps overmotivated - swallow does not make a summer.

The swallow is also "the police." If something, then something big. This does not change my core statement that there is significantly better security for a manageable additional cost. I also know that WK was replaced by RC, but there are slight differences in bonded security glass, especially at level "2".

If you write that, it will surely be true ...

Then I will quote the website zuhause-sicher.de - the glazing is explicitly addressed.

"An initiative of your police" (not your police, of course).

With that, the discussion from my side is ended after your disparaging remark.

Recommended rule: RC-2 windows In the normal private sector – whether house or apartment – the police recommend burglary protection through RC-2 windows. These windows are equipped with mushroom head locking fittings, burglary-resistant glazing (P4A glass), and usually a lockable window handle.
