Which smart home system is suitable for our new building?

According to test reports, the Ring doorbell to Echo Show is supposed to be very fast

and the Nest doorbell to the Nest Hubs as well

I have already looked at the better doorbells over and over
but I haven’t found a suitable one that also shows me the image when I’m on the go

The only one that would have been interesting is the Doorbird
but I have read extremely bad things about it (bad camera for example)
For example, the Doorbird cannot be displayed on the smart displays (we don’t have a sensible place for the Doorbird indoor station)
with the Doorbird we would only have the image on the phones or the tablet lying in the living room

So you can recommend the Omada system?

I had now considered taking AVM (we can’t exactly hang APs on the ceiling or up on the wall)

Actually, I don’t need much
All that matters to me is good WLAN coverage (but it doesn’t have to be high-end)
and the ability to specify an alternative DNS server (which is also possible with AVM)
I don’t think we need VLAN (what would you use that sensibly for?)

How is the best way to do this with the landline?

we only have the telephone connection in the basement

how would you do it?
if we were to use the AVM devices, then I would put the telephone connection into the fritzbox and use the Fritzfon
how far is the range of DECT`?

are there any alternatives without running the telephone cable everywhere?

You could also use Pi-hole and block ads directly in the router. Which provider does something like that? Simply don’t put the Fritzbox in the basement, but patch WAN and LAN upstairs.

What exactly is Pi-Hole?
Sounds definitely interesting

Vodafone is doing that
