Which smart home system is suitable for our new building?

In your case, I would probably go with radio control and that's that. Roller shutter controls are as common as sand on the sea. You can manage a bit of lighting and sockets with all the stuff available for end consumers. Well, and so on.

the large radio systems probably aren't that bad anymore, right? especially when you eventually equip the whole house with it, the radio coverage will also get better and better

for example, with Thread (Matter) a mesh is built where every part can talk to each other and relay the signal so there are no radio problems

with radio you probably won't get a full-fledged weather station like for example with KNX or Free@Home

can you get a sensible automatic shading with radio where you have to intervene very little?

do radio smart homes also work with lighting with a toggle or crossover switch?

KNX is probably overkill for us too (apart from the extremely high price)

not really that good either. Marketing is everything. And because it works so well, it has been announced several times and postponed again. Of course you will, there are many very good weather stations with radio. The question is how the integration with the rest works then. also here, if the integration fits then it works. With crossover, yes. But since this is rather not purposeful, engineers got together and out of that came buses and other things.

You haven't fully understood my concerns. Why you open the door and when doesn't matter. As soon as the lock is smart, it is vulnerable and that without leaving any traces that are useful for the regular police. Because you will have it on the WLAN, I bet on that ;)

The postman doesn't run away that quickly, in single-family house neighborhoods he knows his regulars, he's glad he doesn't have to deliver in the 4-story multi-family building without an elevator...

The debate here reminds me of FUP/KOP, AWL and SCL. That can never be resolved.

Oh, does the garage have access to the house and is the door secure? ;)

Topic I install RC2 everywhere and for the garage an inner door without a lock...

The garage has no access to the house or the garden

Then you don't know our mailman, he's faster gone than you can blink

I don't need to open the door with remote access, the fingerprint is primarily for us so we don't have to use a key

if I understand you correctly, then there's no good way around a bus smart home, right?
