We had to do without wired systems for cost and feasibility reasons, and now I do everything wireless myself. Choose a manufacturer-independent central unit (ioBroker, openHAB, HomeAssistant...), then it doesn't matter if you wait for Matter and which systems you use. For example, I combine Alexa, eufy, Shelly, HomematicIP, Unifi, Aqara together and am completely flexible when it comes to gimmicks.
Doorbird seems Apple-like to me: Looks good and works, but in the end you pay for the design. So far I couldn't find a "better" feature set. I initially wanted to work with the new Unifi Doorbell, but it has been out of stock forever. I just got the new eufy Doorbell and I like it. A reaction time of 5 seconds seems acceptable to me for a video doorbell.. In any case, not a Ring, which only costs additional monthly fees, as already mentioned.
The important thing is that the electrician makes deep openings so that you can retrofit Shelly, etc., if necessary.
