Which smart home system is suitable for our new building?

I would choose something integrated purely for aesthetic reasons. A fingerprint scanner with a toy doorbell with a modest appearance above it looks terrible. You have to look at that stuff for years when you go into the house!

Just take the Doorbird LAN gong with it, then the package is complete. So PoE to the doorbell and again to the gong, done.

In terms of appearance, I'm totally with you that an integrated system, like doorbell and ekey, looks much better and higher quality.

But the xline alone doesn't look extremely high quality either.
It’s okay, but as far as I know, the housing is also just plastic.

My problem with, for example, the Doorbird is that you can’t display it on the smart displays.

We want to put either the Echo Show or the Nest Hub in the living room (depending on which voice assistant we want).
But unfortunately, we don’t have a suitable place for the small Doorbird indoor station. :/
I would have liked it if the image could be shown on the smart display and I could speak with the person at the door.

Alternatively, a phone notification when the smart display is too far away or I’m on the go.

I think you are very well off with wireless. Anyone who thinks of Alexa, WLAN doorbells, etc., will not be happy with KNX.

On the one hand, KNX is a real smart home, meaning it is designed to automatically control shutters, lights, etc...
On the other hand, you counteract the security of fixed wiring if you additionally integrate WLAN into the system.

A convinced KNX user’s toenails curl up simultaneously when they read "mobile control" or "Alexa."

KNX is programmed once and then runs independently without having to constantly press buttons or have an app open. But for this to work, you have to dig deep into your pocket.
I claim that a real smart home with KNX, which is truly superior to a wireless system like the one from Bosch, does not exist for under 25-30,000 EUR.

Yes, KNX would have started at 20,000€ with our electrician

Which is unfortunately too much for us

That's why we have to look for a radio smart home

We have no problem switching a few things ourselves

But we would like to automate a few things by voice command or even completely automatically

if possible the shading so that it works completely on its own

Even though I think that's a "I don't want to do that" price... I also think that for 10,000 EUR for the other system it would only have been a Bosch Smart Home with cables... take 50 EUR hourly rate and 40 hours for programming and system testing plus acceptance documentation... that's already 2,000 EUR gone.

I also think that this is a defensive offer

the electrician prefers to install Free@Home instead of KNX
he offers Free@Home for about €10,000 but KNX only starts at €20,000

However, I don’t think F@H would be worthwhile as it has many limitations

All prices refer to WITHOUT programming (I can do that myself)
