do you know how to connect the Eufy?

there is the wired version (which I would definitely prefer) for that the normal 2-wire doorbell cable is enough, right?

now the more important question: does the normal door chime still work or does it only ring via Wi-Fi to the Eufy chimes?

if the internet goes down, does the doorbell stop working as well? (the smart functions obviously stop but there should at least be an acoustic chime)

I would differentiate here between internet and network failure. As far as I know, the Eufy basically runs locally, so it doesn’t necessarily need the internet (possibly after setup). Recording etc. also runs locally via the Home Base. Only the Wi-Fi still has to work (Wi-Fi != Internet)

ok other cloud doorbells, e.g. Ring or Nest

they don't work properly if the internet goes down, right?

can you install these doorbells on the existing door chime? it should still work even if the wifi or internet is down, right?

sorry, I don't know anything about this

At what height can the WLAN doorbell be mounted on the house wall?

It is always recommended to install it at 1.20m (because these are retrofit solutions and that is the standard height of a normal doorbell).

My problem:
We want to install an ekey fingerprint on the same wall, which should also be mounted at 1.20-1.30m.

Can the WLAN doorbell also be mounted higher at around 1.50m?

Maybe you just read the instructions of the desired devices? They contain both how they are mounted and what happens in case of internet failure. You will also definitely find something on the subject of Gong there. Or should maybe someone from the forum come by and mount them for you? You are building a house, right? How does it work without any initiative?

You can also mount the thing at 1.80 m, then it looks directly into the faces of tall people and smaller ones can’t reach it. What kind of questions are these? Stick a piece of cardboard on the wall and try it out! Can you reach it? At what height does the camera look at people? The ekey scanner can also be easily 10 centimeters lower, that doesn’t bother it at all.

Sorry I did not understand the doorbell chime correctly in the instructions It says that the chime must be bridged Does that mean that the normal doorbell no longer works?

With the Ring, for example, I did not find anything clear about whether it continues to work without the internet

I assume that the doorbell then fails

Regarding the installation heights, I would have thought that you should follow the manufacturer's recommendation so that they work perfectly
