I need to let €50,000 sink in first.
I have seen gardens that are very beautiful but not high-end and that partly cost mid six-figure amounts. For example, google Terwiege Essen and take a look at the references.
Also, the 18% of the construction costs that are "typically" estimated for garden landscaping made me take action. That would be about €125,000 for us. The plot is also 1,085 m² in size.
I will call a local company later that, in my opinion, has great references on its website. However, there are no price indications for the reference projects. I’m very curious how it will turn out later.
My wife and I are basically in agreement so far. I will gladly post some pictures once we have put something down on paper.
We will talk to the garden landscaper and then decide whether it would be better to use a garden architect. The garden landscaper's website actually shows quite substantial planning documents. Other experiences would be helpful in this regard. Who has employed a garden architect, and where were boundaries crossed in this respect that pushed a garden landscaper beyond their limits upfront? I could imagine that something like this is of interest for streams – possibly also, as in our case, with uneven plot topology.
Oh, this is all wonderfully exciting.
