The garden costs are going to be a problem. I spoke earlier with the neighbor, who also had Rheingrün design his garden. He initially allocated a €100,000 budget and absolutely couldn’t make it work. In the end, it cost twice as much, but he still had to drastically cut back. He says there wasn’t even a dense planting of bushes along the property fence, so now you can see right through everywhere. All that still has to be made up for.

However, he also has a lot of stone in the garden (slabs) and an elaborate water feature. Still, I find that harsh. I don’t see much else in that garden. No pool, nothing.

I believe him. Otherwise, he has everything in the house made from very noble materials. Even the tiles in the garden, etc., are fancy. And when I look at other gardens on the internet, where a budget of 250,000 € is sometimes stated without there being a designer stainless steel pool in the garden, I find that quite credible.
