Full integration side-by-side/French - refrigerator

not bad either^^......you just have to be able to get to the batteries easily and it must not get hot in any way.

What do you professionals say about this..... everything correct, forget it? All nonsense, just do it? A middle way? If there really needs to be 10cm of space, that obviously looks sh***** between the cabinets and the cleaning will be even more annoying.

I'm not a professional, but I have a similar model myself. What you mentioned is currently available for around 1100 EUR at the four letters. Still, I recommend you also take a look at the HB18FGSAAA. Originally, we also wanted to order the one you mentioned (yes, definitely French-Door), but switched to the drawer version of the freezer compartment and have not regretted it for a second. Brilliant! Direct access, bigger, also illuminated.... and even cheaper on top of that.

Regarding the actual question: We did not fully box ours in, but to the sides I also left “only” about 5 cm and personally see no problem boxing it in, provided the distances are kept and “normal ventilation” (ventilation grille or similar) is present.

Our kitchen builder advised us the day before yesterday against integrating our Samsung side-by-side into the actual kitchen furniture. It would look dumb in 100% of cases because it has to stick out in order to open the doors. Alternatively, if you have a free wall, you could integrate it into this wall using drywall construction. That looks somewhat acceptable, but if something goes wrong with the unit and the next refrigerator no longer fits exactly, you have to tear open the wall. Although that would still be cheaper than changing the kitchen units. Our Samsung will therefore probably be used as a discreet beer cooler in the pantry, and we will stick to (integrated) standard dimensions.

Ever thought about just integrating two refrigerators? The freezer compartment of the mentioned appliance is useless anyway and is only needed for the essentials (ice cubes, a few herbs, etc.) thanks to the separate freezer in the basement.

As a result, you would have massively more cooling capacity with the disadvantage that there are no extra-wide compartments. The price is the same, visually in my opinion much better (a matter of taste). This fixed desire for SbS/French Door unfortunately means that kitchens are built around these non-integrable blocks. In my opinion, this devalues kitchens.

Apart from that, a countertop next to or directly opposite a refrigerator makes sense because you don’t just look into refrigerators, but also fill them after shopping or take out a bit more while cooking. Having an oven right next to the refrigerator in the row is possible, but of course not exactly optimal btw.

Haier would not necessarily be the first choice, just like AEG and Baukneckt, all of that was too lousy for us.
