It's not about what is allowed, but about what your very own building permit looks like. The roof is already on it. So the knee wall is already fixed. In the photo you can't see any at all - that would mean 0. Is that correct? The collar beams look quite low. How high is the planned ceiling on the upper floor? They almost cover the windows in the gable. Is that an illusion?

If you want help with the OG, we need the planned ceiling height, window dimensions, roof pitch, and exact staircase cutout size and position.

The central staircase with knee wall 0 – not much remains of your attic conversion. To illustrate, here is a sketch with a roof pitch of 45°, with 1m boxed out. Adding another wall here doesn’t make sense because of the sloping roof. But maybe someone has an idea.

I’m really amazed at how someone can build a house so cluelessly.

No, that won't work. It's dangerous in the hallway where other family members walk by and bam... they get hit in the head by the door.

With a 0 knee wall there is no knee wall to be drawn in, otherwise, of course, you are right.

Tell me, Pff... is the tiny kitchen unit enough for you or does it go around the corner? I am surprised about that short wall between the utility room and kitchen where not even a 60cm unit fits. How can such a planning error happen? As far as I remember, you were also quite resistant to suggestions... but was it really built like this???

With the above, you should honestly hatch everything that is under 1.50m. Then you'll get a better idea of what will be left for the children.

The narrow bedroom, where you can't even step beside the bed, would bother me more. Well, as long as the utility room has an outside door.
