I would like to add the following: I really don't think the plan is bad, but is it what YOU want? I would check the following points:
1. The kitchen! very important. The island seems a bit small to me. Please ask Kerstin - whether this even works like that. The magic triangle here means: working depth - sensible island width - attractive window to the south. 2. The living rooms all lose some size in favor of several small rooms. Surely no one is against an extra room - but do you need it? You still have a basement including the option to have windows there. In the end, you have a bunch of small rooms (greatly exaggerated), which you actually don't need, instead of more space, for example in the kitchen. 3. Why do you absolutely want to separate the basement with a door? Because you know it from grandma's house? That is sentimental nonsense. Your basement will not be wet, musty and cold, so that it is best hidden, because construction is no longer done that way today. If you actually use the basement properly - and that is surely the plan - then it's nice if the stairs going down don't disappear into a dark and scary hallway. 4. For me, the bedroom in the south instead of the children's rooms remains problematic. Given the many options, this would be a deal breaker for me.
