We have exactly this situation: a fixed window in the kitchen facing the street and at the height of the block a terrace door. It's enough for ventilation. So I would also stick with the fixed one. We also have a controlled residential ventilation system and the Miele cooktop, but you shouldn’t expect miracles from them. Honestly, both disappoint me. The best is still the gas grill on the kitchen terrace, which we like to use for grilling meat and fish.

Meanwhile, facts have been established. The fixed window element is in. We really find it very beautiful. So far, the house looks really great from the outside. Just the way we wished!

I think we will start the move in September. We will plan in more detail only when the screed is laid. That is supposed to happen in 3-4 weeks. It's really dragging on in the final stages. My "complaining" about the wall heating doesn't speed things up either. But good things take time. There's no point in rushing. The general contractor doesn't have to live with the cold bathroom for the next (hopefully) 60 years if I don't pay attention now.

Unfortunately, currently a medium-sized and schedule-delaying mess in the house.

There was an error in the chain of GU, shell builder, and concrete plant, which was only noticed by the stair builder after 3/4 of a year, because our planned landing staircase would not fit without becoming impossibly steep. The marked area is currently being cut away.

I knew it would get dirty. What I had not on the agenda, however, is how heavy almost 30 cm of reinforced concrete is.

Unfortunately, the photo afterwards is not as expressive as I had hoped. In any case, the guys made an improvised crane in the walls and saw or the guide in the floor. Apparently, they worked their way from core drill to core drill yesterday and will continue today. In my opinion, everything was hung perfectly so that the water doesn't spray everywhere.

A bit of a pity about the cables laid in the intermediate ceilings.

 How stupid. I wouldn't have thought that cables lie in that spot...
