Oh, a little misunderstanding. I did not mean your sketch with the criticism of the lack of development of the initial draft, but #121.

Sorry, but it has nothing to do with "not so important." We like the straight staircase, but it is not a must. However, I also played around with other staircases, and there wasn’t much change. Maybe I took the wrong measurements. The space under the stairs would not remain unused. You can put something there and also install cabinets.

As I said, I am not against suggestions, otherwise I wouldn’t have posted here. I’d rather someone tell me what is not so good before everyone says it’s great and in the end it isn’t. I don’t find the living/dining/kitchen area of about 51 sqm too small now. Bigger is of course always possible, especially in the living room I would like the wall to be a bit longer.

Not bad your idea, I know what you’re getting at. But on the first glance upstairs, the room to the left of the stairs seems quite narrow to me. Of course, that could be misleading due to the sketch. Although it might still be enough for an office.

You need to find out the measurements. By eye, I'd say: it'll work

Thank you, I will note that down. I just have to check about the utility room. According to the builder, it should be about 10sqm, as we need to accommodate many things there (air-water heat pump, ventilation system, electricity, laundry, etc.). The new size might also be sufficient; I will find out.

It is true that I find the model "Anstatt-Willah" quite ridden out. Nevertheless, I acknowledge that in individual cases it can also succeed "not as a demonstration of aesthetic total abstinence."

As far as the podium question is concerned: the comments mainly assumed the case of a horizontally level plot. Then it is indeed technically advisable to at least compensate for the height drop at the apex of the roadway relative to the curb, or to provide a channel in front of the door.

But also from a design point of view, in my opinion rightly noted, with regard to the "role" of the entrance in the play performed by house and garden, a little more staging is called for. A lipless mouth hardly tempts one to kiss – figuratively speaking, I would see something comparable in a puristically flush door.

There you have inadvertently revealed the secret why I am not building at all this year: under my carport, the party will only start when Cologne becomes German champion.

P.S. (I forgot to add this earlier): for a main entrance, it is already a bit of a disadvantage to be located on the side. In combination with "too plain," this aspect becomes a bit too significant - even a generous width changes this very little.
