Ok, now I can imagine what you mean about the dressing room. But that means, conversely, that I either need a door in the dressing room and then get from the dressing room into the bedroom, or the dressing room is completely separate from the bedroom. However, I would rather like to get directly from the bedroom into the dressing room.

Your views on the windows and doors make sense to me; according to you, they should also be more square-shaped.

Could you maybe sketch an example for me of the floor plan that, in your opinion, is not run-of-the-mill and not found in that way in a manufacturer's catalog? Because no matter what I would change in my mind, I have somehow already seen everything like that in a catalog.

It's not a problem to have seen something somewhere before. The trick is to combine the different "standards" in such a way that there is a well-fitting whole (taking into account your personal requirements, the property AND the legal regulations).

Can you explain to me why you apparently prefer the bedroom as a walk-through room rather than the dressing room? Perhaps the right solution for you would be to choose the layout and furnishing so that you go "to the left" to the bed and "to the right" to the dressing room. The main thing is to eliminate the path around the bed.

There is nothing wrong with that and I almost think that it can't be done any other way. Every floor plan will already be seen somewhere in a roughly similar form. I can't imagine that it isn't like that. That's why I wanted to have an example to be convinced otherwise.

The bedroom as a passage room somehow resulted from the plan. I have to see to what extent we can redesign it to get from the dressing room to the bedroom (without losing too much space in the dressing room) or, as you wrote, to be able to "turn off" (which I think would be the best solution). Thanks for that.

Again about the floor plan on the ground floor. If we want a lot of light in the living/dining area, I think we don’t have many other options than what is shown in our plan. The kitchen then as an L-shape in the NW (we will do it that way too ) and then there is not much "space" left for the rest. At least I can’t think of many other options then.

I always find it very helpful to mentally walk through a house. Try out different scenarios: I come home from shopping and carry the shopping box into the house... by the time I arrive in the pantry, the broccoli is already dizzy that would be too far away for me. Similarly: I carry washed laundry (presumably this should take place in the utility room?) up the stairs, past the bed, into the dressing room. That would also be too winding and far away for me. And you can play through things like this for all sorts of situations... when I get up in the morning: what do my first steps look like? Does that work, does such a room layout function? I come home from sports... Guests on the terrace and you go in and out... In doing so, you notice - at least I do - quite well whether a house is livable. I also find the bathroom very loveless. The size does not make a nice bathroom. It lacks a clever design, then you can get by with 4 sqm less, I think... As it is, it simply looks like the sanitary fixtures had to be put somewhere.

How high are your ceilings supposed to be, you have only planned 15 steps. Low ceilings do not look nice in the large living and dining area.

Best regards
