In a way, you are right, thanks again for the hint. It seems we haven’t taken a step back and compared the works side by side for quite some time. To be honest – they all work, probably we also have to learn that there are no better versions, only different versions with their own pros and cons. The fact is, the indentation of the sofa corner by about 0.5m in the last draft is nonsense (mea culpa, that was our wish, not the architect’s).

On the upper floor, we now have several concepts that can be interchanged with the ground floor.

Currently, we are still mainly turning around the dining table and its positioning... Any critique on my two variants where the table is sometimes attached to the island? :)

I mainly see a lot of unused space there, which senselessly stretches the room and makes it look like a corridor. In my opinion, half the wall is not enough to prevent this feeling. Otherwise, docking the dining table to the kitchen island is not a spectacularly new furnishing idea.

What exactly are roof pitch and knee wall height in the attic?

Well, honestly for us it is :D. We simply hadn’t considered it.
How do you see it with the variant of the kitchen staying on the left and the dining table attached? Regarding the fact that from the hallway you don’t walk towards the window, but towards the dining table?

Because of the roof pitch and knee wall, see picture attached. We have a 38° roof pitch, no knee wall. The collar beam will probably be placed directly on the ceiling.

The dining table is usually the best part of the open-plan room to enter it. Not good at all would be the chill area and the kitchen is rather in second place. Windows play a subordinate role.

Wow, knee wall 0. Then you need the 3m long staircase to access the roof peak. Otherwise, you'll bump your head on the slope. Is there a plan for the peak?
