Hello,

or try searching for the COS lamp from Komot. Pendant adjustable freely in height and along the rail. And great light.

I just installed the URail rail system from Paulmann over the dining table this weekend (among other reasons to adjust to different table lengths) and combined it with the corresponding adapters and pendant lights. This allows the lights to be quickly slid back and forth as needed

We have that in the kitchen and I have already thought about it. However, I don’t know if it looks awkward in the “normal case” when the rail extends beyond the end of the table and the lamps only hang on one side of the rail... somehow probably all asymmetric then.

You could also hang 2 lights each on one cable and temporarily and manually extend the distance if needed with a spreader bar.

How often does that really happen? Leaving this year aside. At our dining table, you can attach an additional panel on the left or right to reach a total of 2.5m. But just because we might need that maybe 3 times a year, I’m not going to adjust the lighting for it. If it’s really that important to you and you’re worried that guests might be sitting in the dark, just make sure that the lamp doesn’t only shine downward and that’s that.

I talked myself into it with visible technology, technology can be asymmetrical sometimes :D The wife also complains about it in the kitchen because the URail plan isn’t symmetrical, but I just said: that’s how it has to be. And even if it wouldn’t bother me, the pendant lights draw all the attention – nobody even pays attention to the rail.
