Hi,
our closed kitchen is also "only" 12m², but we still placed great importance on a dining table for 4 people, precisely because we don’t always want to carry everything to the living room for breakfast or in between.
Our kitchen is L-shaped, not huge, but sufficient for me. The table is 120cm, which can be extended if needed (but then you could only open half of the 2-wing terrace door). I like it this way and after almost a year of use, I would do it the same again.
But as others have already mentioned, it always depends on how the room is laid out. For us, it fits well, but that doesn’t necessarily have to be the case for you.
If you’re interested, I can gladly send you the link to my blog where I have photos of our kitchen layout.
