I call that ambitious. Why the pressure now?

So 2 usable parking spaces. Without the car rolling backwards, that exceeds my capabilities. I played around with the abben corner once. But that inevitably makes the house longer for me. That would probably blow the budget again, I suppose. Just the sketches without windows, attic, etc.:

Yvonne, what idea did you still have?

... is at my house, warm and dry
For me, the stairs were similar to yours, only at the beginning also rotated by 90 degrees.
Between the kitchen and the stairs (closed) was the passage.
But I only had 6 meters of house width, and then the second staircase upstairs with a bedroom of at least 3 meters width opposite no longer fits. Then I stopped at some point because it doesn't work with 3 meters...
The trick with the second parking space for me is that I let the upper floor look over to the east side by 50 cm/1 meter, so that the entrance still has a roof, and the parking space is then long enough.*
The living room is bent inward for this, so there is a bit more terrace there. There is in a row: carport, courtyard, terrace with storage shed, and finally a small lawn the whole width for playing.
*I myself had such an overhang in the single-family house on the side, now also as a roof over the entrance in the house. So it can’t be that expensive to implement.

According to the general contractor, the positions of the two parking spaces for the building application should be fixed – and this will take place by mid/end of July.

Unfortunately, I'm not entirely convinced about the abben corner – nevertheless, many thanks for your efforts first of all.

We had another discussion about the basic room and layout division today during lunch. Probably everything in the upper floor and attic will change completely again. I feel the children simply have rooms that are too small and the guest room in the attic is just too big and probably unused. Maybe we parents will move upstairs after all so that we also have space. However, we will probably stick to one bathroom – I find it a pity to have a main bathroom on the upper floor and then only use the small shower in the attic.
But these are just our thoughts during lunch at 30 degrees in Rome.

Ok - so you shifted the garden more to the south and moved the house towards the west? What dimensions do you use for a parking space? When I think of my driving skills, it shouldn't be less than 5.80 x 2.70m for a car. And that only if I can drive in straight. Parking crosswise in front of the house - then it would take me 20 minutes every evening just to park. (The neighbors would enjoy that. )

I think that 3 m on the side in front of the house for the transverse parking space only leaves a total of 7 m, and that should also fit with the eastern (bottom of the plan) located house entrance. That is why I placed the cars diagonally in front of the house.

Behind the house there is 8x10m and in front of the house parking space 2 is already in front of the door, bicycles cannot be accommodated from the street at all:

And currently there is 5.55x10m plus an extension around the south corner, currently 5.35 m in front of the house ... maybe a little too little could be taken here. Bicycles can be stored from the street, garden accessible from the house side, more spacious stairs:

Argument ... children can be watched from the kitchen. If the children are still small, then they are in their own garden and can be watched from the kitchen. If they are allowed to go on the street without accompaniment, then they do not always have to be watched.

House layout enables:
- quiet retreat room for watching TV
- cooking/eating together, also later gladly used by teenage children. As parents, you then have peace in the retreat room
- Or you make two groups... some watch football, others just want to sit comfortably.
