The situation would really relax if you buy the middle house as well.

I have been following here for a long time and I also always think about the basement issue. Anyone building on such a small plot is practically forced to build. It is no coincidence that the two next door are building like that. It would also ease the situation with the middle house.

What I practically wonder is how you park across from the house there? Do you drive in backwards or forwards? You can’t swing out towards the house wall.

Yes, you have to like that But you could harmonize it with some color or a wall on the ground floor that connects the upper floor.

I am always a clear advocate here for a bit more space for the forecourt or front garden so that it is useful as a courtyard. In the back it usually doesn’t matter if one or two meters are missing. Especially for parking on your own property, this space is necessary to feel comfortable at home on your own property.
Example parking garage: everyone tries to avoid a parking garage they are familiar with if it is too tight everywhere. You sweat twice a year at the thought of having to use it. And then you sweat while using it. And you want/have to subject yourself to this situation at home?! Better one meter more to arrive home relaxed...

... make a virtue out of necessity and create a courtyard garden. There is a book, a great book, which I once borrowed from the library, about small gardens, especially roof terraces and small backyards. You can design those wonderfully.
In this case you will get a great sightline on the diagonal, making the garden look bigger and allowing your gaze to wander into the "distance."

Thanks. I clearly see the basement in the attic. Basically a good alternative.

Well, I just said that jokingly. But when I think about it, that really could be an option if you share the matter with the other outside party. Then it's 35K? For 3.5m more in width – that already makes a difference. Then you could place the bar crosswise and push it 3m to the back. Parking is easy then too. All problems off the table.

Uh... how expensive was the QM again? But I think the building authority won't allow that. They have a three-unit block as a parcel of land on offer and no Twix, no Raider, no Kitkat.

I think someone mentioned something about 70K for the middle.
Yeah, probably you don't stand a chance with the number of applicants.
