We will definitely stick to our floor plan on the ground floor. The proposals are all good in their own way - but unfortunately not conceivable for us. We might possibly widen the "foyer" slightly - but otherwise it will remain as it is.
We parents will probably move to the attic because there is more space for us there. However, we want to significantly enlarge the two children's rooms and possibly have a small storage room. The bathroom should remain about 9 sqm in size, as we want a walk-in shower and bathtub. Therefore, we actually like the layout of this room quite well.
We find the attic with a dormer quite good, as we definitely need an office of that size. And since the children's rooms on the upper floor are to be larger, there is no more space for the office there. We would then place our bed centrally in the dormer under the windows, and each of us would have their own wardrobe area starting on the side of the slope. That should be enough space.
Regarding the tedious topic of parking spaces: we will definitely not move the house further back but build with a three-meter boundary distance. For that, we want to use every meter in the garden for our children to play.
Either we designate one parking space across from the house or two beside the house (one of them in a garage) and let them protrude a bit to the back. Not the most elegant solution - but okay for our personal needs. People may find this rubbish here or not. We have to set priorities - and they are not on parking the cars but on living space and the garden.
If anyone has floor plan suggestions for the upper floor, that would of course be great - in the attic, there probably won't be many alternatives anymore.
