Is preparing for photovoltaics in new construction sensible?

Hello

I have another question about the photovoltaic system
We will have north-east and south-west roof orientations. (South-west even without windows and satellite dish) (new building)

The problem is we want to have the photovoltaic system installed later (quite high costs and we do not have extremely high self-consumption)

We will not have a heat pump we are connected to the local heating network

We thought about having it installed in a few years (maybe with the first electric car or when there is enough surplus and it actually makes sense for us) and prioritizing other things first (the developer will not put it on anyway and it would have to be installed by another company after handover)

We want to build a fixed terrace roof exactly under the south-west roof in the garden, 5m wide and 4m deep (the semi-detached house will be 6m wide)

How is a photovoltaic system actually installed? do they have to set up scaffolding? (which would not be possible because of the terrace roof) or are there other ways to install it?

or does the photovoltaic system have to be installed before the terrace roof? but what about maintenance or possibly replacement afterwards if the terrace roof is built after the photovoltaic system

Hi The feed-in tariff per kWh decreases monthly. The costs for the photovoltaic modules do as well, but since Berlin has now decided to require photovoltaics to be installed on every new building, demand will inevitably rise and thus prices will tend to increase. If no cash is available, I would finance and install now. It still pays off.

The construction will only be completed in 2023, so not immediately possible

My main concern is whether I can install the terrace roof beforehand without any worries or if I will have problems later when I want to install a photovoltaic system

The terrace covering is not a problem for the installers. If you use standard modules, a substructure will be used, and the effort is quite minimal.
I would definitely recommend planning empty conduits up to the meter box. How prices will develop – materials, services, electricity purchase costs, feed-in tariffs, subsidy programs – you can either look into a crystal ball or decide based on gut feeling.
What is considered quite certain: photovoltaics pay off – now and also in 3 years, regardless of a feed-in tariff and even with low consumption.

We definitely wanted to install conduit. Does it matter on which side of the roof the conduit is located and what diameter it should have? We wanted to lay conduit for the satellite dish on the northeast roof and next to it the one for the photovoltaic system as it is the easiest and shortest way to the technical room.

In my experience, appropriate fall protection is required, which is also demanded for scaffolding on the gable side, at least when the BG conducts a thorough inspection. It is beneficial if the photovoltaic system is installed directly with (after) the roof while the scaffolding is still in place. Either the roofer immediately "damages" the tiles according to the installation plan (cuts for the roof hooks) or the solar installer does it during or immediately before the module installation. Usually, the coordination between the roofer and the solar installer doesn’t work anyway = double work.
