Building cheaply is easy, see post #1. Go to Town & Country, pick a house from the catalog, and give the company an unproblematic, build-ready plot of land without additional measures. Choose everything as [Bauleistungsbeschreibung]-standard and that's it. Pretty simple, in my opinion. You don't need to fantasize here that building cheaply wouldn't be easy. Building cheaply simply means always saying no. Say yes once at the beginning and then always just no.
Does Town & Country really still include the radiator as standard? Or was that a special request?
We definitely didn’t just choose standard. I mentioned that too. Level-access showers in 160x100 cm, 60x60 cm tiles, freely altered floor plan – that cost quite a bit extra. That’s our "luxury."
Yes, radiators are standard. Oh God, how terrible – how did people live without underfloor heating over 20 years ago? We never had it and won’t miss it. To each their own.
Oh, and I didn’t find it easy – we just did a lot of research and weighed where to invest and where not. Looked at how to get the optimum out of our budget.
