Hi,
And where is the problem with concealed fittings? If something breaks, you just have to open it up, repair it, re-tile. It costs money, but nothing more.
LOL... come visit us sometime, then you’ll never ask such a naive question again...
We had a water pipe burst due to a poorly installed concealed fitting, which soaked the screed insulation in half of the upper floor. We still have the parquet replacement for the whole upper floor ahead of us, on Friday our dressing room will be completely torn out, that’s the last room where the old parquet is still there.
The insurance will cover it all (about €15k damage in total), but nobody pays you for the hassle and nerves.
I would never install a concealed fitting again! I’m very glad we at least have normal fittings in the showers, the craftsmen couldn’t mess up as much there.
Keep it simple...
Regards,
Andreas
