You probably don't have a room temperature sensor. Check that. The room thermostats are NOT temperature sensors in that sense. They do not transmit any data to your heating control.

How can I actually tell if I have one or two heating circuits?
In my heat pump, there is only one, wouldn't it make sense, if there are 2 heating circuits for the ground floor and the top floor to be controlled differently?
Anyway, we have 2 heating circuit distributors, one in the basement, which includes the basement hallway and everything on the ground floor, and we have another distributor on the top floor.
